ABOUT US

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) was established in 1984 by the pioneering Kalasalingam Anandam Ammal Charities and has been re-accredited by NAAC with an ‘A++’ grade with a CGPA of 3.11 in 2015. 
In the recently announced NIRF Rankings 2021, KARE is ranked 29th under the University category, 36th under the Engineering category, and 48th under the overall category. Six Engineering programmes have been accredited by NBA under Tier 1. 11 Engineering Departments have been Accredited by ABET. The Institution continues to do indefatigable work in offering its services to various Governments and Non-Government research projects. It has received DST funding to establish the National Centre for Advanced Research in Discrete Mathematics. KARE has established a state-of-the-art Research Centre named after Nobel laureate Sir C.V. Raman, which is equipped with high-end instruments for advanced research in Material Sciences and Life Sciences. It has now extended its reach beyond the campus, by offering UG and PG Degree Programmes through Online Learning (OL).
